This past weekend was the final weekend for EMuzeki in Maryland. What an incredible run for them. They gathered a very large following here, and received a standing ovation at their final show. What a heartwarming sight that was. I think that they were taken by our fair in a very big way. Joshua, the drummer, revealed to me that morning that this was his last performance day with the group. He feels that he needs to work on his skills. This shocked me, as I am in awe of his talent. I have asked him to keep me posted on his progress. I find it extremely difficult to lose track of friends. I hear great reports about the group coming in to replace them on the final four weekends. I hope to see some of you at MRF this year. Let me know when you are coming.

Ok....this news has just crushed me....I was a big fan of Emuzeki when I heard them in MIRF, but when I heard them with Joshua for the first time at GLMF, I became a fan for life. His addition to the group made them 1000% better. I know I am deaf, but damn....work on his friggin skills? ? He has more talent in his belly lint than I could could ever have. Now I am just pissed....I just can't believe it.... We'll be there Oct. 13 & 14...I'll keep an eye out for you...The Black Knight and his Lady will be visiting.

As for this loss to EMuzeki, I was crushed on a personal level as well as a fan level. Although I got to know each of them and found them all gracious and kind, Joshua turned out to be my closest friend of them all. He was very thoughtful and considerate in all he did. He went out of his way to seek me out to chat each day that I was there. I found him very warm and real. I will miss him very much. I too was surprised to find him doubting his own talents. It has been pointed out to me that most great talents are never happy with their own performances, so I imagine I should not be too surprised. I have arranged to get discount tickets for Lady Catherine on that weekend so I will probably be there at least on Sunday. I'm looking forward to seeing you. This weekend it will be Penfold and Wynter. How cool. See ya there. Mitch
