Just wanted to wish all of you participating in this weekend's opening the very best of Luck. In the theatre we say break-a-leg as it is customary taboo to wish with the words "Good LucK".
For those that are not from a Stage background...Legs are the vertical side curtains in a theater used to help frame the stage along with the horizonal curtains that are called teasers...use to be the legs were not curtain material but wooden. And these "legs" had to be raised and lowered every time a scene changed or bigger set pieces would have to be removed. The impact of these legs hitting the floor would eventually crack or break a leg...so the more successful the show the more performances, the more performances the more impacting and breaking the legs.
So please know I am not wishing any of you bodily harm...rather, pleasant weather, wonderful audiences, interactive playtrons and a whole lot of fun!
I look forward to reading about the mayhem and mischief! Ginger from TN

So that's what that means! Always wondered about that, even though I work in theater (we're an outdoor theater, so no curtains).
Thank you for the good wishes, they are appreciated.
