We missed Pirate Weekend, and evidently the invasion of the Barbarians.
Had a thought of fun watching them at the Brew Ha Ha this weekend, but didn't hear the intro.
Where the heck did these guys come from? Any chance they'll take up residence?

The Barbarians are a great bunch of guys from Michigan. They attend every day, as far as I know, up there and can always be found at the Jewel Stage with Owain Phyfe. They rule, not sure they'd take up residence though, that'd be a long drive every weekend to attend a faire. (they aren't an act, but maybe they should put one together eh?)

The Barbarians are from Michigan and MIRF is their Home Faire which is why it's fun to go up to MIRF during Labor Day Weekend...them and Owain together on their Home Turf!!

Ah yes, they know each other. But she is correct. They really are great guys and seem very laid back and fun. I had a chance meeting with them on Saturday over by Owain's stage. Had no clue who they were but had a fun interesting conversation with them none-the-less. Wasn't until later when it dawned on me that the Barbarians were coming this weekend + these guys looked the part = must be them. Got a much better chance to hang out with them and get to know them a bit more Sunday after pub sing. And I am glad I did.

***hmmmm, sounds like you know from experience*** What, recognize a pussycat when I see one? (I do have 6 cats! LOL!) Hey, any group of guys who are Owain Roadies and come to our Faire to hear him (and worship Hoss, the PubKeeper of The Drift Inn) can't be as "barbaric" as their name implies...and to think, Toddle is an English teacher... why didn't they make fun teachers like him when I was in school??!

I know. The kids today have a more open line with the teachers if they care to give back. The teachers can be more relax then when I went to school

Yes, I'd say that this past weekend was the best by far for myself. I wasn't stuck in the booth, and I got to do a lot of things I hadn't yet. Like being a rat puck caddie. Oh, and, Brian, nice job with the rat and the cheese. You really put your foot in your mouth with that one I spent a lot of extra time at the Artisans to the Knights booth, too. Which was AWSEOME! They've become my adopted family, I swear. And if anyone speaks to Chris, tell him I've still got Phantom stuck in my head thanks to him ;D I'll be crying this weekend though, so sad. Though it would be worse for me would Owain been there to sing. It's so sad.

Rat and Cheese...THERE IS NO PROOF!!! Eye witness accounts can be denied!!!
Heh. I wonder if they think I did it on purpose? You know, after saying how horrible it would be for everyone else to do well and me to hit someone...in the face. Maybe they thought I was aiming for them. Maybe the mother shouldn't have swatted the rat UP instead of down.
Besides, I would have missed the little girl...bent her wing maybe, but missed her.
Ah well, Moona Lisa recovered just fine and the man laughed and refused my offer to pay for his food or buy him a beer, so all's well that ends well.
Callista, maybe you should find a way to Michigan or Pitt Labor Day Weekend. Keep the faire fix going and it's not as sad.
Or do what I do. Be sad that day, but make sure to sleep in and relax so much the following weekend that you don't know where you are! Or something...heh.
