You will need Avaloch notes for most food vendors, EXCEPT at the Black Ox Cottage or Peddler, where we prefer the green money.
We have locally produced good food; many of our menu items are blessed by St. Atkins.

If one has notes left over from last year, can they still be used this year? I don't believe they were dated, but were they color-coded in some way to make them invalid now?
Inquiring minds want to know....

Thanks Olive, I prefer using real money! You come very highly recommended, so we'll be sampling your goods this weekend!

I just wish they had some better signs about the Avaloch notes.
I imagine it is very frustrating for new visitors.
I figured with a year to work all this out they would have at least had some nice permanent signs made up.
And I didn't see any pricelists anywhere like I did last year.

I wonder if they will put up charity boxes at the gate like they were supposed to last year. I don't know if they did this or not, but it was discussed.
Setting up charity boxes for all the left over pound notes. That way people could donate their pounds to like the APL or something.
It's not a refund, per se, but it would be a nice gesture.
