State Route 166 in Trumbull Township
(Monday, July 14 – until further notice)
Beginning Monday, July 14, SR 166 between Dawsey Rd. and Graham Rd. will be closed through mid-August for a culvert replacement. The detour will be SR 528 to US 6 to SR 534. This work is the beginning of a $400,000 to replace the culvert on SR 166 between Dawsey Rd. and Graham Rd. The entire project is scheduled to be completed by late August 2014.
I looked up the route on Google maps and it appears you can bypass the bridge work by taking Dawsey and Graham roads. this is not the official detour and I do not know the condition of these roads but it looks a lot shorter than any of the other routes I could see on Google maps.

Bob is correct. If taking 166 East to Dawsey you can take Dawsey to Graham, take Graham North to 166 and ge East to 534 and the faire. or just continue East on Dawsey to 534 and go north to faire. Both roads are in pretty good shape. At least they were last Summer when I used them. I know like forty eleven way to get to and from faire so I vary my route just for a change of scenery every time I go.
Seems to me like they just did a culvert on 166 last Summer around that same area. Must of been a shitty job if they have to redo it again so soon. Oh well, job security for ODOT.

If you are coming across 166 from Chardon, take route 6 and go north on 534 from there.
If you are taking 166 from 528 for some reason, take Thompson rd. east out of the traffic circle in thompson. It ends at 534 (and is called Barret rd. in Ashtabula county) and you can go south from there.
