Yesterday my fathers struggles ended at Fairview hospital where a team of 20, ready responders, and a code I hope never to hear
CODE BLUE
Ended....mama and I were at the hospital I'm thankful for that..
They worked and worked on daddy's, intubation, medication, chest compression..
I fed him,one vanilla pudding, and the second, while watching him struggle so,bad to breathe, the last third swallow he was failing
His pulse Ox dropped to 50!
Not good...we were asked to leave while everything could be done to save his life.
My orthodox priest visited and prayed over daddy,
The New Years days, the catholic priest anointed him, he went home to be with The Lord on jan 2
Today is the day I Have dreaded
He will be shown on Sunday at chambers funeral home, rocky river drive
And the entombment mon at holy cross Cemetary
Yesterday my mom became listless, thank God Walt was home,we sat her down, she started slumping, clammy face and hands
I had my dad's portable O2, we put her on it..
I brought her to the ER, jokingly I said you have picked up where daddy's left off..
Fairview admitted her till sat afternoon.
I thought I had to,do a two for one..
At age 88, my loving, strict when I was growing up father had all his faculties.
Health wise not worth a damn.
So, now this chapter in his life has sadly ended.
I can now focus on my 83yo mama.
