Support your local food vendors... Was James Garner in that one?. Just make sure you take a minute to stop and thank some of the staffers that make this happen.

And please, stop and tell any cast members you were especially fond of good-bye and thank them for their hard work. It's been a rough year for many of us, as far as faire goes (talk about muggy heat, ya know?) and you know actors, fragile egos and all that... Anyway, thank you all for your support and smiling faces. Yah? YAH!

Wasn't sure but looks like we'll make it out for the last weekend, well, at least one of days, we plan on supporting and TIPPING, performers, hittin' up the vendors, and supporting our stomachs by buying food. I hope everyone else will do the same, espcially all the ppl who are imbibing behind booth and not supporting the performers or the faire....hit a show or two, support an act, support your cast.

Actually, most of those "who are imbibing behind booth " do support the faire, performers and vendors. I know many of them do quite a bit of shopping in the shire. As well as buying CDs, food, tipping the acts that they do go to. Many of them probably see more shows than I have this season. I don't usually sit in the seats for musical acts. Preferring instead to be somewhere nearby, where I can hear the music, but still visit with my friends (and not disturb the show going on) I do though, make a point to let the musicians know how much I appreciate their lovely music. And how much of an impact it makes upon my faire day. It isn't always about the money. Honest praise and appreciation are always welcome.

You know, I really hate the seeing people off thing. It gets strained by the 90th person. (moreso on the ones I know I will run into) But I got a good one in early. The boys from Circa Paleo stopped out for a round of golf Monday so I got to see them off from my day job. Was a bit sadder when I saw them drive by thursday with the motor home on the way to Pa.

Had a blast final weekend. Even getting drenched and chilled on Sunday couldn't dampen the spirits of those of us who stayed. It was amazing, fun, joyus, sad, and touching, all roled into one.

Agreed on all counts. The crazier things got on Sunday, the more fun I had. Getting soaked at during Chess wasn't fun, but the cast just rolled with it and the show was still awesome... And Checkers was hysterical.

Starfleet doesn't issue umbrellas?. I have nothing but respect for a gutsy chess match in that downpour and credit to the audience that sat through it. Thanks also to the lasses that invited me for a puddle bath but I have a strict rule about avoiding muddy water. Double bonus props to the staff from "the bored housewife" for building Johnny Phoenix the biggest thong panties on earth.

Starfleet doesn't issue umbrellas? They do, but I left it in the Captain's Yacht and was already seated when it started pouring. Plus, I was born in Washington and raised in Oregon. Umbrellas are for tourists and women trying to protect a hairdo. Seconded.
