I'm so happy to be returning to northern Uganda for another ox and farmer training project among Acholi women. I will also visit an orphanage where about 35 destitute children and former child soldiers struggle to survive, to purchase food, medicine, and clothes for them. Thanks to everyone who patronized the Black Ox Cottage because I have enough to buy my plane tickets up front, even though Pimento has been laid off all year. PeaceHarvest, the 501(c)3 of which I am on the board, will match donations I bring in to help reimburse me for my travel expense. Additional funds, if there are some, will go toward future projects: purchasing oxen and plows and paying our native Acholi farmer/ox trainers. If you'd like to donate toward my travel expenses, note that it is for Vicki Solomon (Olive in the 21st century) and email me at evrgrn@nls.net and I'll tell you where to send it. I'm planning some Movie Night fundraisers in the next three weeks, showing an award-winning documentary about Acholi kids from the refugee camps and their amazing musical and dance talent. If you'd like to attend or host a movie night within about 25 mi. of Avaloch or of Hank & Bunny's, please email me. Find out more about PeaceHarvest (and see a pic of Olive in Acholiland) at www.tillersinternational.org/international/currentproject_uganda.htmlHugs to all, Olive
