A big bow & a curtsy to the Cast This Year !!!... Especially, to Queen Berengaria ( Shawna Hamilton ), the Most Regal & Adorable queen we've ever had, I think... And, to King Richard Lionheart ( Bob Napolan ), So Dignified and yet, so Approachable. THE CAST IS MORE THAN WILLING TO PULL YOU INTO THEIR LITTLE BITS ! ( I loved watching Locksley pulling a lassoed herd of wenches through the village. He said he caught them all himself !!! )

Everything. :]
Especially such open patrons this year. They are so approachable! I LOVE IT!
I've never been so into my character until this year. There are times when music is playing and I start to believe that the village is real and I forget about the modern day.
The story this year is really pulling me in and I love every minute of it. It's going to be hard when this season ends. <3

My favorite thing about Faire will ALWAYS be the dancing.
I love how shy patrons usually are when you draw them into the dance show, and the fact that the ones which require a little convincing always leave with the biggest smiles, because you just MADE THEIR DAY!

1) The excitement as opening day draws near. 2) The sounds of vendors hawking wears, performers trying to draw crowds and the crush of people in the street. 3) That faire smell. It's really complex. The top notes are cinnamon buns, cloves, and roses, then there's middle notes of leather and sweat, then finished off with earth...and possibly horse manure. Unforgetable. 4) The moment when you are talking in character to someone new to faire and they laugh and you realize that you've made a new friend. 5) Talking to crafters and having them teach you new things. So cool! 6) Seeing old friends and reminiscing. Meeting new friends and being excited to see what they are up to. 7) Singing and dancing in the streets like a giant geek and not caring. 8) Coming up with an amazing goofy bit to do in the street and then trying it out. Sometimes it utterly bombs. But sometimes it mushrooms into this double rainbow of epicness. Then you have bragging rights! 9) Getting to put away the silly costume you wear at your nine to five job and putting on your REAL clothes to go to faire! 10) Hanging around after pub sing to talk because you really don't want to sit in traffic and hey, all your friends are here.
