I discovered this faire last year during a severe bout of faire withdrawl. www.kyrenfaire.com/It's a small faire and its a bit far ( about 5hrs from Akron) but it was a lot of fun. There were quite a few regulars from ORF there as well. Thier pub is very nice! Anyway, I know I don't know too many of you but a few of us are going down on Saturday June 19th. The more the merrier? I was told on thier faire forum that the place to stay is the Best Western Shelbyville Lodge in Shelbyville, KY

WARNING!!! Captain John Stout has been sighted in the vicinity of the Kentucky Highlands Renaissance Festival! This salty sea dog has been known to scavenge the land looking for music to play and ale to drink. He was last reported to be seen at the headquarters of the Promotion of Leather Outer Wear (PLOW) also known as The Griffin Works purveyor of fine leather products. He may be armed with a guitar and cds. It is advised that caution is taken when near this Saltwater Export Agency (S.E.A.) Desperado of Oceanic Gain (D.O.G.), to protect your ales and whiskey. In the event you should cross the path of this water going salvage reclamation engineer, you should lay down an offering of fine India Pale Ale or similar beer. Better yet, guide him to the pub, where any danger of post-imbibing psychosis may be alleviated.
Come out and have a great time with us in Kentucky!! Hope to see you there!
