Steve's mom is in our thoughts a lot. think healing thoughts for her and the whole family..Steve,we may love you but sounds like your whole family needs good healing thoughts. Remember as your mom gets better she may get short tempered at all of you. Try not to take it personal (but you will).

Today's Update.
"Well things are looking pretty good at this point. Unless something comes up, mom is set to be released from the Hospital on Sunday Aug 30th. I've been working hard to get everything from faire put away and the house into some kind of order for her return. The next update from me will take place Late Sunday Night or Early Monday Morning, which should indicate that she is now home, or if a complication has taken place, what. Having visited her now and seeing how well she is doing I am pretty confident that she will be home and anything left over will be as an "out-paitient" Steve"

New update.
"I will be picking up mom at the hospital later this afternoon. they backed off of letting her out yesterday, another test to run. I have been told that there will be home based P/T for another two weeks or so, then as an out patient for several weeks after that. they also want to run several more tests in about a month, to check on things and see if anything else turns up. I'll send another update a little later in the week, once I see how she is doing. Steve"

Latest update.
Mom is home now. We have a nurse comming twice a week to monitor vitals etc. And a P/T person twice a week as well. There have been to many doctors appointments and such to keep straight. But we have found out some things. 1) she has a micro facture in one of her vertibrea, which is caused by compression and arthertitus (not sure of spelling) this makes her very sore and stiff. Hence the P/T. 2) We did an endosopy and have learned from it, that the muscles in her stomach no longer work properly. For digestion to take place, the muscles work in conjution with the stomach acids to move, mush and digest food. Now the acids are doing most of the work. So she has indigestion after she eats almost anyting. The stomach problem is on top of G.E.R.D. which we have been dealing with for years. 3) She is recovering very very slowly and had dropped about fifteen pounds, even though she is eating well. (I make sure that she is eating by doing all of the cooking etc.) She was not eating well when I was at glmf. But is eating regularly now and has good appitite. 4) she is still not enough along to be left for more than a couple of hours at time. But we are hopefull that will change.

Hey everyone! I just talked to Steve and I have an update not on his mom, she is doing well, but on Steve himself. On Tuesday Steve was having problems with his right eye. He called the opthamoligist and and was told that he had to go to the Cleveland clinic the next day for and appointment. when he went to that appointment on Wednesday morning he found out that he had a severly detatched and torn retina. it was severe enough that if they had not cought it then he would have been blind permanatly in his right eye. He had surgery Wednesday afternoon. He had his follow-up today and they said they were 100% sucessful. he will not be able to e-mail anyone for at least 4 weeks so he asked me to fill everyone in. he is on complete "bed rest" for the next ten days. he has eye drops he has to put in and he is not allowed to do ANYTHING for at least the ten days.
as soon as we hear more I will let everyone know but for now he is doing well. they think that he should have 20/20 in his right eye after it has healed.

Update on Steve,
I posted this in the "whats happening to our faire family" as well but Steve is in the Cleveland clinic. he has had a minor "transient" blood clot. it did travel to his brain. he has been admitted and will be there at least over the weekend. the clot had dissapated by the time he got to the hospital but they are still running tests. as of 6pm he was going for an MRI. please keep him in your prayers. as soon as I know anything more I will let you all know.
