Helping the Cub Scouts

Hi Everyone,

There is a Mentor, Ohio cub scout troupe that is having a summer day camp. They are interested in having a Medieval theme and would like to know if there is someone at the GLMF that could help them. Possibly some entertainment or even just a few actors to talk to the kids.

I am an amateur at making chain maille so I will have a small display for the kids and some chain they can whack with a wooden sword.

I don't really have much more detail than that right now but if there is a name and number I can give them (a rep from the faire), that would be great.

PS: I just noticed my original note may not be totally clear. Kinda fuzzy like my brain.

This will be a week day event and they are looking for people to come to their camp site. Dates and times have not been determined. I will post info as I get it.

I think great for kids at GLMF! I dont know chain mail but, I do know swordmenships.

Marzeke I hope you can get a few to answer your post. Folks the kids love this stuff. We support the scouts wherever they are. I myself don't have anything to show them unless they want to paint or clear a lane Sorry. Hep

If anyone is interested in helping. Here is a bit more information. I believe that they are trying to fill their lunch programs. These are approximately 30 minute presentations. The contact person is Cathi Johnson and the numbers are in the attached .PDF document.
