Wanderingwench....I believe what they are referring to is a TV show from the 80's that ran on Showtime or HBO ( Hell, it's been too long ago for me to accurately remember.) I do remember liking it, though I cannot remember who any of the actors were. (they might have been all British)
If you like Robin Hood, and medieval stuff, and if you are on this board I would assume that you do, You might want to check it out. If Blockbuster has a copy, it would be worth a look see.
Oh yeah luv, I like your solution to problems. High Explosive! yeper, works every time! HANK.

You are correct, they were on HBO during the 80's from BBC. Peter and I have had them for awhile, but Peter had to actually order them from England, and pay quite a bit.
As to quality.... some of them are really good! But the stories move rather slow and the synthesizer music is bad in my opinion. (However, Peter claims he likes it.) The second Robin Hood is Sean Connery's son.
The story lines are very interesting how Robin can be Earl of Huntingdon and the Miller's son. (There are MANY legends of who "Robin" actually was.) And it's all pagan-y with Hern and other religious cults around the British isles, including a couple sects of Chrisianity.
PS I do not recommend putting in 4 espisodes in a row in the DVD player in the van with Jenn Sean Richard and Peter. Funny things happen, songs get written, and why do they involve pants?

Actually it was on Showtime in the mid 80's. I remember because we had Showtime but no HBO at the time.
