I'm surprised. I figured with the Browns winning and the Steelers loosing, I would be catching a bunch of grief in here.

Well, guess I won't be watching much football in January. With the loss today, I doubt the Steelers will make the playoffs at all. Hopefully this will lead to the team finally getting rid of some dead weight though. Like our non-existent pass rush, and our poreous offensive line.

Hey Trev... Don't know how the Browns or the Steelers made out today so no grief from me. Overall though the Steelers still have a better record and if not this year will probably make the playoffs long before the Browns ever do. HANK

The Browns lost today. Figures, I was actually rooting for them for a change (played Jacksonville who is also in the wildcard hunt)

Well Trevor, it looks like you got a nice Christmas present yesterday... There has not been a massacre like that since Custer messed with those Indians!!! I think the Steelers have a shot at a wild card spot, no? Well I wish em luck. HANK.

Yes, but the xmas present wasn't the win in Cleveland. It was San Diego's loss and Jacksonville's win that pretty much locked things up for Pittsburgh. If we win next week, we are in the playoffs.
And it wasn't quite as bad as the opening game for the new Browns. That one was 43-0

43 to 0...41 to 0...same difference. I think the steelers were just tired. All that running into the end zone is bound to tire a person out after awhile. Don't know who they are playing, but I hope they do good next week. HANK

Well Trev... Ohio State went to the Fiesta Bowl.. The steelers might go to the Super Bowl... And the Browns are going down the Toilet Bowl... Same ole sh**! How do think it's going to go with Pittsburgh vs Cincinnati? HANK

I'm hoping to see the Steelers wipe out the Bengals. Don't know about a Super Bowl bid though. IF we win on Sunday, next week we are going to Indy. [shudder] The Browns actually did something right this week though. I though for sure they were going to screw themselves up and get rid of their BM that they just hired last year. Instead they got smart and canned their president of operations. I honestly would like to see the Browns get better. That way it will actually mean something when we kick their ass twice a year

GO STEELERS!! Hey Trev, got a football question for you since you follow this stuff way more then I do. When did Art Model sell the Ravens? I was looking at the sports page of todays News-Herald and they list someone by the name of Steve Bisciotti as the owner of the team. Now this is news to me, but like I say I don't pay that close attention, I look at the headlines and see what the scores are and thats about it. HANK.

I can't remember exactly when the team moved. I think it was 95. They came back in 99 if I remember correctly. I'm not sure who owns the team. I'm pretty sure Learner has the controling interest, but I think there are a few other financial backers involved as well.

Wrong team trev... Yeah , art moved to Balt. in 95 and we got the expansion (New Browns) team in 99. BUT. I'm talking the RAVENS here. I was under the impression Model still owned them till I saw this Steve guy mentioned in todays paper as the owner. I totally missed that!!! I would of thought he'd have passed the team on to that goofy kid of his, David. HANK. P.S. How did it go for the steelers today?? we were at the feast while the game was on, and I didn't hear anything about it on the car radio on the ride home. I suppose I could turn on the 10 o'clock news and find out, if they are not still playing that is...these damn football games drag on for hours so they can fit in all the beer and truck commericials...
