Not too bad a week for football. Pittsburgh won! Cincinatti and Baltimore lost! Too bad Cleveland and NE had to pull out last minute wins.

The Green Bay game was 3 weeks ago. They did win, but only by 2 points
This past week, they played the Chicago Bears, who have only managed to beat Detroit so far this season.

The return to Baltimore of Diffler should be interesting. I have seen him throw some spectacular passes for touchdowns by hitting the receiver squally on the run. Why he was cut is a mystery but maybe thats because I am used to the quarterback and offensive lines( in more than one way) Cleveland has had to endure since that person moved to Baltimore. On a related note during that time that the Browns were out of commission the people of Pittsburgh were very supportive of the Cleveland fans, It is hard to see them in an unfavorable light after their kindness. Even after all these years.

Of course we had to support the Cleveland fans. That way we would have someone to laugh at once they got a team back As for your other comment. Face it. Even before the team moved they had trouble putting together an O line and a quarterback. They had Bernie a really good pocket quarterback and they had no line. They get rid of Bernie and put together a good line.

So Mumbles could run Metcalf up the middle forty times a game. The Browns had a good line? ??

Yeah, they had a good line. The year after they canned Kosar, their line was solid. As for stupidity, don't have to look any farther than my own team. Our quick, slashing type running back (parker) they run straight up the middle. While they run Bettis wide, and toss him little out passes.
