Trevor... Bunnie and I went to see it today. Along with 11 other people. No body we knew, just 11 other folks at the theater. I liked it, River kicks ass, she's more deadly then Jenna!! We would probably catch it again if we can fit it into our crazy schedule. I'm still trying to get all our crap moved from our old house before the snow flies. HANK.

Hank here again... for all you Serenity fans out there, make sure you catch the next three episodes on the SCI Fi channel as they have never been shown before! When the show aired on what was it? UPN, FOX, the WB?? they did not broadcast them in the proper order( Sci-Fi IS) and they deleted three of the episodes. Just thought ya might like to know.

Went and saw it at 7:20 Friday night at the Ashtabula cinemas (not the ones at the mall, the ones on 20 near RT 45) The theater is a lot nicer than the last time I was there. Which was years ago, and the place was a real dump. Nice comfortable seats. Very few people there, which is kind of disconcerting since it isn't showing hardly anywhere in Ashtabula county. The movie was awesome! Everything I had hoped for and more. It was so good, I never even though about not being able to smoke! (that is rare praise for me, as it hardly ever happens) I wish it was showing closer, I could go see this dozens of times and not get tired of it. Hey Trevor, I usually go to that theater, yeah, it's scary looking on the outside but once you get in there, they have some nice comfortable seating! But, since i'm still here in TX, I get to go the movie at this huuuuge mall. It's awesome. Even has an ice skating rink in it! How cool is that? ? BUT the movie theater is sooo comfy, cozy, with huge cushy seats and a huge screen. I'm hoping it's going to awesome on a huge screen!!!! Glad to hear the movie was great! Axel and I are on our way to check it out today! I can't wait! I've SOOOO looking forward to seeing it!!!!! ;D Oooh, quick afterthought a different genre, but we did see History of Violence......I was not impressed, a very slow moving story with many, many, holes in it.

OK, I guess I'm really out of it or something. I've never even heard of Firefly. Can anyone fill me in so I can see if I want to watch it on TV?

Firefly is being re-run on the Sci-Fi channel on Friday nights at 7 PM.
Originally it aired on FOX on Friday nights. But they canceled it with only part of the original 13 eps shown. They never gave it a chance and basically did everything they could to kill any chance of it gaining a following. It is a true western in space. They actually have horses, normal guns, and western style clothing. While still running around in a spaceship and jumping from planet to planet. The best thing about it are the characters. Joss has a way of writing that just brings people to life. They are 3 dimensional, realistic, funny, frustrating, and likeable all at the same time.

Don't EVEN get me started. I don't even like SCI FI and I LOVE Firefly/Serenity. But then it is Joss Whedon.
And let me tell you, that if you are a follower, you will notice this is a quintasensual Joss effort. There were many, "Damn you, Joss Whedon!" moments. The movie was like an entire season to extend the story. Although, what he explored, I was suprised he went that way. However, he still has got a LOT of 'splaining to do about the background of Book and Inora.
Please watch the series, it's TOTALLY worth it. (And if you can, watch on DVD. If you look hard enough, you can find the extra of Alan Baldwin singing the JAYNE song while wearing THE hat. ANd you thought us GLMF-ers had weird songs. )

I saw the movie and it was well made. I am not happy at the story plot, but don't want to ruin the story for anyone. Needless to say I was angry when coming out of the theatre.
