I had so much this past weekend. Bill was called up to the Sassy Lassie Men in KIlts contest and he was a great sport dancing and all. The kidnapping was so much fun but the knights singing Men in Tights was a blast. My grandson was on stage with both Broon and Thom of Bedlam he will always remember that. The heat and rain didn't spoil the fun. Got really wet but dried off quickly at the glass blowers. Had a really great time at pub sing dancing with Lois. Hard to believe that we are at the half way point. Can't wait for this weekend See you all then Sue

I had a good time as always but was bummed when the rain drove my mom and aunt away early :-[I did however think there was something fundamentally wrong with a Highland weekend with no Rouges or Scotland Rising or something like that. But despite the rain and such I give it an A.

First I have to state that we had an wonderful time. I also have to agree with He who Lurks. While I am a huge fan of Barret, I missed having the shire full of bagpipes for celtic weekend. I wonder what happened to having the bagpipe competion?

Ahoy! I'll have to take the blame for the Piping Competition not coming together for Celtic weekend. It turned out to be a bit more complicated than I had anticipated. With all that I have learned about Pipe Competitions, next year it should actually happen. At some point in the future, I'll post the plan and ask for suggestions so that next years Celtic weekend will have many more Bagpipes. Fortunately, The Sassy Lassies and Barret filled the air with lovely bagpipes (as well as a guest who played a bit and sounded quite good) and Forsythe Special brought in some great Irish tunes. This year is certainly turning out to be a lot of fun, now if the weather will be kind to us...(fingers crossed). Also a BIG thanks to Silent Lion for letting us use their mikes for Pub Sing and a GIANT THANKS to Gibbon the Troubadour who is proving more mikes, stands etc... as well as running all the sound!

Saw a lot of the Sassy Lassies last weekend. They were lovely, as was their music. But I really prefer live music to canned.

I had so much fun! Loved the Sassy Lassies! I also enjoyed Forsythe Special because I'm a big fan of the more traditional Celtic music. I can't wait to catch their show again this weekend.

I just wanted to say I had a blast this past weekend! Thanks for involving me in some skits...Mordred had attempted to woo me and Sir Gawaine came along and proceeded to show me how, and I quote, "A real man" would woo a lady. That was one of the highlights of my day! And thank you Gawaine for escorting me to the pub. You were right...a lady should always be escorted to her alcohol! Hopefully I'll be able to come up the last weekend!

Saturday was miserable for me personally, with the heat and a bump on the head. On Sunday I got my cloak from the Bored Housewife, just in time for the rain. Pretty good after that. Do have one suggestion, though. Pond parking needs a parking attendant. People have double and triple parked for the last two weeks and the back row of the double got cut off both days this time. I certainly hope the bump on her head she mentioned here didn't lead to her stroke. I remember reading about it just now. Just doesn't seem real that she has passed on.

Joe...I guess we will never know if the bump on the head in any way contributed to her demise. If a bump on the head would cause that I would think I would have been dead years ago, what with all the bumping of my head on the underside of cars.
BUT!!! It's not as if I am the poster boy for normal. I mean I walk around with a talking rat on my head! So maybe I just have a different form of brain damage.
Maybe hers was a condition she had since birth and it just manifested itself now. Like I said, I guess we will never know. But what I do know is, she will be missed greatly by all who knew her.
HANK.
