I've really wanted to go the past two years. But between vehicle issues, and money issues it just hasn't happened. Same for Pittsburgh. I so hope next year things are better and I can go visit more faires.

I definitely understand. :'( We only made GLMF 4 days this year, we usually make at least 6 sometimes more. With the price of gas to drive the 2 hour trip each way though we just could not do more. Wild Rose is great for me because it is less than 15 minutes from my house. Next year for GLMF we plan to camp and attend a few full weekends to help decrease the transportation costs. Hope your luck improves, would love to have you visit, and with any luck the faire will be just a little bit bigger next year :)

Yay I was able to make my photo work. It is not a great one, but it will give you an Idea of who you are looking for if you come to the faire. I will only be there for the first 2 hours on Saturday, and maybe the very end of the faire day, but all day Sunday this week. www.myspace.com/damsilfly There are some photos from last Sunday here, mostly the magic show.

That is great. We will look forward to seeing you. I should be there all day Saturday. I got a few more pictures taken this weekend but have not had a chance to post them yet. If you have any questions please e-mail or pm me I'll do the best I can to help you out. Do you have some place to stay, or were you planning to make the drive both days?
The acapella act was the Naughty Bawdy Babes. They were at the Pittsburgh faire if any of you went down you might have seen them there. They are supposed to be back again next weekend.

Haven't been on the board for a while but yes Lady Catherine Sewickley is near Moon Township I had family there as well now we are mostly in Sewickley and Coraopolis though. I was born in Moon Township and lived on Pear Orchard Rd until I was 2 then we moved to Coraopolis. I that where you are from? Found out recently Crash was born in Weirton W. Va and my Mom's side of the family is only a stones throw away from there! What a small world. Sue

Baldric Bauldry, the current forecast for Erie, about an hour away is mid 40's to 50's with about a 90% (Saturday) and 60% (Sunday) chance of rain. Forecast for Warren is 100% chance of Rain Saturday, 20% chance on Sunday high in the mid 50's low in the low to mid 40's. Hopefully it will be just a little warmer and we will skate through with out the rain. (but it is a faire weekend) There are several tents on sight where one can get out of the weather, and last weekend their was a propane heater in the pub tent. Despite the cold weather last weekend it was still a good time. If you have a cloak, or some warm garb though I would bring it, and if you plan to stay for the bonfire on Saturday bring some warm mundane clothing with you. also I finally got some more photos up on my myspace page www.myspace.com/damsilfly

The Wild Rose Faire is done for the season. The weather the last 2 weeks was less than inviting and really kept the attendance numbers down. Total for the season was 306, and most of those were in the first 2 weeks. Probably a little more than a third in the second week. The last weekend was terrible weather and we all ended up in several tents lashed together around the pub. We all still had a good time just being with friends and enjoying the company. Thanks to Drew for showing up in that miserable weather and sticking it out. You didn't get to experience the faire as it usually is, but you did get a good inside look at the cast and crew for the year. Hope you still had a god time and you will come back next year to see the actual faire. We generally do not spend the day drinking like that, but with the cold downpour their was very little chance of anyone else showing up so it was more like a cast party than a faire day.
When they get ready to go next year I'll post about expected entertainment and faire dates. See you all at Great Lakes in July.

Just wanted to give all an early heads up. The Wild Rose Renaissance Faire will continue this year. It will only be 3 weekends instead of 4 this year. It will begin the first Saturday in October the 3rd and run every weekend until Sunday the 18th. We started some sight prep this past weekend and are making some grounds improvements, flowerer's, trees and such. Still too early for details on vendors and performers, but just wanted to let you all know we're still here and planning another year.
