Being home::: I just spent the week with my husband in his "big truck." He is a long haul trucker. I saw Tennessee, West Virginia, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Akron and Ravenna. All in a week! I am glad to be home in my own bed for tonight. I have to hand it to you long haul truckers. You have to live in this 6 by 6 "room" for weeks at a time without getting much exorcise. Then you have to deal with moving tandems, scales, nasty loaders and some really bad drivers that don't know that a rig can not stop on a dime. If you are lucky to have a nuker in the truck you can cook your own meals, if not you get the yummy fast food places. The shower situation is another problem. You have to wait hours for an available shower at the truck stops. For the most part, all the truckers were very nice, clean cut and polite. Not at all like the stereotypes trucker of greasy hair, terrible clothes and foul mouthed. I guess we should remember that without truckers more than half of what we own would be null and void. So lets give them the respect they need and the space to do their jobs. I am really glad I am home!! ;D

Being able to go out in my back yard and eat raspberries and black raspberries fresh off the bush! Particularly on a perfect summer day with bright blue skies and a breeze flashing and whispering through the bushes and trees.

Raindrops on roses and wiskers on...oh, wait...that's been done before....
*The sound of crickets and tree frogs on a summer night
*Sitting on our patio at night listening to Owain and said crickets/tree frogs whilst sipping a nice Merlot
*Doing the above with friends
*The sound of bagpipes in the distance carried by the wind to greet you at Faire
*Cat naps with my cats
*Meeting everyone at Faire that you haven't seen in a year on Opening Weekend
*Ground score!
...to name but a few...
