Recently some performers who fell victim to shifts in GLMF demographic positioning have been saying that our budget has been "cut" and we have ,"reduced our entertainment capacity" These rumors are far from the truth. We have shifted to acts that are willing to do intelligent humor that everyone can enjoy as opposed to a select audience. In truth we are planning the most entertainment filled year since 2000. The response was not unexpected as this act has been known in the past to create negative e-mail campaigns about faires that don't hire them. Their most recent posting even went so far as to imply not buying GLMF tickets opting instead to buy their tickets for a local performance. My suggestion is this: support their event whole heartedly, but remember who brought them to the region in the first place and know that GLMF is bringing you higher quality entertainment every year. We are striving for excellence. Live entertainment should be supported as it is a dieing art form. In truth, If the perfomers would have worked with us, we could have done some promotional stuff with them and really helped their event---opportunity lost through negative actions.

This is exactly the reason why I am glad that particular act is no longer at GLMF. As far as I am concerned, they were part of the cancer that was infecting GLMF.

It's one of the reasons, I didn't edit their little advertisement. Let people see for themselves the quality of character displayed there.
I am happy for their fans that they get the opportunity to see them. I am also glad that they have been replaced by someone like Broon. I have already posted my reasons why in other threads.

I agree with everyone, if you cant be big enough to move on and learn from what you have done, then they dont deserve to be back

For them to do that it is VERY unprofessional of them. Yes it is. It's also a not wise to burn bridges. The only thing they're hurting is their careers.

What really made me roll my eyes was the implication that the only reason anyone would go to GLMF would be just to see THEM!Talk about your over-inflated egos..... GLMF was there long before they ever came on the scene. GLMF will still be there long after they've gone.

Ohh...I have heard that Hack & Slash are not coming back this year....John spent so much money on music, that he can't afford his own act!
