While at the grounds today for site clean-up, I saw a lot of familiar faces when everyone left for lunch! Was great to see so many returning members of cast I know we have at least one returning Jailor. Edgar Grimm. Not sure what his character name will be this season, but he said he will be at the jail again Not sure if Bram is reprising his role as a jailor but I did see him there. Saw lots of others too, but can't think of any names right now (you know me and names) But just thought I would share some of the excitement I had today, and let everyone know it's not all gloom and doom on the returning cast front!

Got to see even more people today.
I am already getting very excited about faire. Saw lots more familiar faces. A lot of new faces.
And the energy and fun was pretty contagious.

Definitely looking good on the cast side of things. Every weekend we keep seeing more and more faces at rehersals. Some new, and some familiar. Today we saw Chris. Glad to see her back. Also chatted with several other familiar faces during their lunch break. So far we have counted 23 returning members from last years cast. There is probably more, but that is who we know for sure we have seen there. Hope to see lots of them at the meet and greet on Saturday!

*wavies to all* Hello!
Trevor - yes, Bram is going to be a jailor again. I believe the other two jailors are going to be female?
I'm back, huzzah! Wait, can't say huzzah anymore - I'm no longer snobby elf, I am now GYPSY! Arva!
...anyway. Yes, lots of returning people, and quite a few people are returning late due to college (wait till you see who's playing the pirate captain!), and there's lots and lots of new people. Rehearsals are going very well ~ I think it's going to be a good year.

Glad to see you on board. Thanks, but I already found out about the jailors. 2 men + 2 women = probably even more chaos than last season There are lots of bits and pieces I have picked up over the weeks, but I have been holding out. Don't want to ruin the surprises for everyone Besides, it could be a bid of incentive to get a few more bodies out there helping us clean the place up.

Well, of course. Otherwise I would've posted a full cast and character list and a rundown of some of the stuff planned. But that would just be silly and spoilsportish; let everyone be surprised! ^^;

More optomism today. Saw more familiar faces. Think we are up to about 30 returning cast members that we have seen now. Helped set up gypsy camp today. Looking pretty good. It's also amazing what a fresh coat of paint can do for things. Lots of stuff is looking really good. Larry has been clearing out a few things as well. The entrance to fairyland is wider and graveled. As well as fairyland also getting enlarged. They were working on grinding tree stumps in the drift inn area.

they have a gypsy camp? that's not listed on the program. Is it just a place with no shows attached? I also didn't see fairyland shows listed in the program either... I am sure that the one on the web is a rough draft. I hope.

As has been stated before. Gypsy camp. Noble encampment Fairyland.
No stage shows, just activities all day long. That is why they are not on the show schedule. You can go there any time and hang out and see what is going on.

Ok so do you think that fairyland, gypsy camp, noble encampment, and sword school will be listed in the program somewhere as stuff to do all day in between shows? Does this mean that there aren't any puppet shows etc. I think it is a nice idea to have a place where something is always going on as long as it's listed somewhere so that patrons know that it is there.

I'm sure that they will list fairyland, gypsy camp, noble encampment and sword school somewhere in the program, as you suggested. But really, I'm also sure that if you go near those areas of the faire there is no way you would *miss* those things.
As far as puppet shows, I don't think that there will be one this year, but they have expanded the games and crafts back in fairyland to go on all day long, so I doubt that it will be much missed.

Gypsy camp, royal encampment, fairyland, etc are sort of "home bases" for those character groups. It's also a place where those character groups tend to do larger scenes and things for patrons. I know in gypsy encampment we're planning to perform and teach some dancing, tell stories around the campfire, as well as several other planned bits. The fairies have a lot of scenes planned for throughout the day, and I'm sure they have activites and things for children too, but I don't know for sure what they're doing.
Like 'is kingship said, there'll be a lot going on in and around the various areas. They're good "hang out" areas too, for frequenting patrons and people of that character group. It also makes it easier for a patron to find a character group he or she wishes to interact with, since that's where they'll be most often.
