Well you'd better get in touch with Richard, cause your contract went out in the mail today. Hey, Richard, can you confirm that?

So I guess I should actually get on here and say the words myself.
July 30-31st at the Great Lakes Medieval Faire Italian Carnivale Weekend, playing four times a day and at Pub Sing too, the soothing sounds (sic) of AnamChara will be heard once again in the shire of Avaloch.
And just when you thought is was safe to invite Italians to your Festival! Instead you get loud Gypsys!! OPA!!!!!
Papa, Fifika, and Aladar will make their return to the streets of the village and once again fill the air with their own special brand of Irish Folk and Drinking Songs! And maybe a few from the other place of this fine earth, too.
Come and make sure you get a front row seat, because you might not hear us from the other side of the shire . . . hee hee hee.
OK, all. Now, we can cheer! OPA!!!!! OPA!!!!!!!

*rubbing hands together in anticipation*
Fantastic! Now...if we could just find some way to get our hands on some Dolmades (with Lamb!), Greek olives, Hommus and Feta Cheese....
Ummmm...Nyneve? ;D

Oh for goodness sake, Muirgen! And I was so content just quietly lurking in the shadows of the board as a guest all these moons! But of course you, of all immortals, would've known that the mention of Dolmades and Feta Cheese would lure me out of hiding! In honor of this wonderous news of AnamChara returning to the Shire of Avaloch, mayhaps I'll make some homemade Dolmades to bring with me and share with those who care to feast upon such tasty delights....and don't worry, my friend, I won't forget the avgolemono (egg/lemon) sauce either!

*sigh* I've gone beyond the veil and have reached Valhalla!! (Actually I was *this* close in bribing you to head out to that Greek Restaurant to pick up a score or two of them!! LOL!) Oh yes! More sauce please!! ;D

.....Of course, if you don't mind, I'll keep that option just in case I don't have the time to slave away in the kitchen!

Well....maybe "slave" was a harsh word ... you should know how I love to cook -- it's never like slaving to me!

What about the Baklava?
Or the Rice Pudding?
Or the Souvlaki?
What about the Uzo?
Wait - no - how about Vodka!? I am Russian after all . . .

Well Papa, since you are the Russian here, which makes you the obvious expert on Vodka, I'll defer responsibility for that particular delicacy to you! And just as an aside.....did you ever realize just how wonderfully Baklava and Mead go together? Mmmmmmmmmmm!

Well as long as we're talking about Russian delicacies . . . how about Beluga Caviar?
And some nice warm borsht, and chicken Kiev, and a little bit of bobka?
Or a nice whole grain (or semolina) kasha with raisins and nuts?
Mmmmmmm a steaming hot kotmis satsivi would be nice, too . . . . (that's a chicken dish with a tangy sauce)
Or even a bowl of chakhokhbili - a sort of chicken soup but often made with other fowl, like pheasant, and then add walnuts and coriander and even some spicy goodness like peppers or cayenne. Really very good.
