Auditions for the 2005 cast will be held on Sunday March 6th starting at noon at the Old Tavern in Unionville.
Auditionees are asked to prepare a one minute monologue of any style or period. A modern piece may be best suited to show your abilities. Shakespeare is not necessary, as poorly delivered accents or a missunderstanding of the language can hurt your audition. Do not come in garb. We want to see you in your best possible light, so find something that allows you to shine. Remember, we are casting people, not characters, so put your best foot forward.
Auditions should be memorized, not read from a script. And those who would like to be considered for singing roles should also prepare a very short acapella song.
To schedule an audition time, or for questions contact Brook Hall at brookhall@medievalfaire.com
Please include a phone number and the best time to reach you, or a prefered time from 12:00 - 4:00 PM
In addition to cast, we will also be looking for persons interested in work at food/drink concesions, front gate, box office, parking, games, etc.

It is on the UFTA board, but it's gotten pretty quiet over there, so he probably posted it here, too, to make sure everyone got the message, including people like Rookie who don't have access there.

I fear I will not be a part of the cast this year (yeah, I know you all are disappointed that your fav irish wench will not be there!) but unless there are different days for the audition, I already have a previous engagement that weekend...I will be out of town...in any case, I'll probably be a playtron this year...I'll still she all of you guys! (hopefully!) Besides, I have 3 new corsets that I want to wear!

Did you try emailing Brook to see if there are any other dates?

No, what I did was I asked on the cast website and I didn't get a response, so I thought that meant no other dates. I figured he wouldn't want to be bothered with every individual person because I know that I'm not the only one with conflicts. I figure he'll post something else if that is not the case. I don't expect any exceptions be made for lil ol' me! but, who knows?

Hardly "exceptions" I would like to think it would fall under "good management" to be understanding and flexible...but then, what do I know? Well...if Playtron you must be...I know some folks you can "hang" with...
