Ok, we all love to complain about what we don't like at faire. Let's try something positive. What would you like to see in 2005?
I know I want to see Olive back. Would love to have an armorer and a blacksmith back in the shire.
I like the idea that was mentioned about them actually having encampments instead of specific shows for things like the gypsies. I look forward to seeing how that works.
I would love to see some more 'set' street bits. I think that was missing in 2004. I always enjoyed seeing those in years past. When they would have multiple cast members doing a bit every day.

I love the live demonstrations/work-in-progress for any of the skilled trades and artisians. It helps give the potential customer a real sense of why some things are priced as they are and how much of a value they are getting for some handmade items. I understand that certain manufacturing processes are using technology/tools that are not 100% period, but showing people how things were made during the times is very captivating.
Glass blowing Blacksmith Silversmith Coin stamping Leatherwork Woodcarving
Olive got Rookie of the Year for the vendors in my book due to demeanor, depth of character, booth design and the oxen. Excellent work.
The annoucement of heavily increased street interaction is rather responsive to what many of us have asked for.

On another board it was mentioned how swiftly the staff move about the faire to keep things work smoothly. Their hard work is much appreciated.
My suggestion is to designate a few staff members to stay put in certain areas to observe and mingle with patrons. This will help provide valuable feedback and positive PR.

Actually...I love helping those poor folks who have no clue. An obvious sign is when a group stands in the middle of a path and turn their map 360 degrees while 2 or more members of the party point in opposite directions!
So....Suggestion...Do you think "they" will ever let us know if we can purchase Season Pass stickers via Snail Mail and how they will handle said distribution of Season Pass Stickers? I just don't trust their handling of things over the computer...call me jaded... or "Murgey"...
;D
