Ok, we are finally upgraded.

First of all, I am leaving in the morning and won't be back until Monday night. If you have any problems, I won't be able to help by then. So I am going to list some known issues (just the big ones, there are a bunch of little bugs in V4 at this time. After all servers are upgraded, they will be taken care of by the ProBoards staff)

First - everyone will have to log in again.
If you don't have a birthdate in your profile you will have to enter one.
Make sure you double check before hitting enter. As far as I know right now there is no way to modify it once it is entered. If you enter it wrong, and it shows you are under 13 years old, your account will be deleted. (no one under 13 is supposed to be on a ProBoards board)
After you log in and enter your birthday, you will be asked to enter your activation code.
You should recieve this code via email. Be patient. It may take a little bit of time for it to be sent (you figure every member of every board on servers 21-27 will be doing the same thing, it does tax the system and slow things down at times)
If you don't get your code, check your spam folder.
If it isn't there, and you have waited a while, you might have to try a different email address. Some ISPs completely block ProBoards emails. There is nothing I can do behind the scenes to set things up for you like I used to do with passwords before. The email problem is a known issue and steps will be taken after all the upgrades are done to try and fix it.
Until then, everyone can still read and post, even if they can't log in.

Also, you might get an error screen with the message "Too Many Connections".
There is nothing you can do about that except wait a bit and hit refresh.
This is caused by all the traffic on the entire server. The pattern has been that there is really high traffic the first couple days after the upgrade. Everyone getting back on after not having their boards for a day or so + everyone checking out all the new features really puts a strain on things.
That should settle down in a few day.

More known issues.

Avitars - there are several issues with avitars right now.
First, when you try to change your avitar, they don't display in the preview window.
Second, the custom avitars that I have uploaded will resize to 65 x 65 if you edit your profile.
Both are known issues and will be taken care of later.

Smilies should be functional now. I went through and changed all the scripts for all the boards so they should work (except the extra smilie in the rat puck forum). If not, let me know in this thread.

I think those are the big things that will affect most users.
There are other bugs that need worked out, but most of them are staff related and don't affect you guys.

If you spot anything strange or not working, post it in this thread, so I can find out about it, or let you know what is going on.

Now for some of the good stuff.

IF you notice, when you make a post, you now have the option to use spell check.

We now have quick reply boxes.

You can bookmark threads so you can find them later.

Birthdays are automatically added to the calendar (also, I will open this up for users to add items later, after I figure everything else out)

You can see the title of the last thread posted in, and who posted.

Now, when there is a thread with a new post, you can click on the 'new' button and be taken to the first post in the thread you haven't seen yet.

You can do a bit more when looking at the member list now. You can view more than one page when sorting by top poster.

There are more options for your profiles now.

Now, if you want to modify text (change it's color, make it bold, or make it a link), now you can just highlight it, then select the button for what you want to do. Now it will surround the text with the tags instead of write over it like it used to. (I know, not all people will understand that, but some will)

You will also notice that navigation has changed a bit.
Now there is a drop-down box to select page numbers in multi-page threads.
Also the navigation to get back to the board you were on is slightly different. Instead of being stacked with the swords next to it, they are all in the same line now.

Also, when I get time, I can now create more 'skins' for the board. What that means, is once I make a few, you will have a choice in how the boards look for you. More about that when I get time to do it.

There are more things, but I haven't enabled them yet.
Waiting until I get a handle on what is enabled now.

I reactivated my account without a hitch. But in my profile it says I registered on to this board last year in Aug., I didn't join until Jan. of this year. Other than that everything looks great. I especially like being able to go directly to the newest post on a thread without having to search for it.

I think that is another known bug.
Reverting join date to when the board was created.

Will check on it when I get caught up.

Now my avatar is too small, how did that happen, and how do I correct it?

Sorry.
Right now the maximum size for avitars is 100 x 100.
Before, I could get around it by adding them to the custom avitar list.
It isn't clear if that will be changed back when the other avitar issues are handled (like not being able to see a preview of it when trying to change it)
Probably still looking at a couple of weeks until the patch is released as they are still upgrading servers.
