Actually, I'm fine.
Lets face it...GLMF knows we are all a "captive audience"...what are we going to do but wait until things are mailed? Nothing we can do so might as well sit back and wait. When it comes, it comes...but as I said, I always pick up my Season Pass sticker a week before Faire opens when I know people are on site. Went through that whole "Will Call" thing one year and it sucked...so for now, I just log on here, look to see how many days and go on with the rest of my life until Faire...
Hang in there, folks!

I'm cool with waiting on my season pass. That's not a problem. Getting it earlier isn't getting me into faire any earlier. The part that I find dismaying, though, is that they advertised the 2-1 tickets in early December as a Holiday special. I bought three sets of them to give as gifts to folks I thought would enjoy the faire. "We'll do our best to get the tickets to you before Dec.25th but given that we can't control the postal service (yet...), there are no guarantees. We apologize for the inconvenience." No guarantees indeed. Nor any response to my email. That's pretty lame.

Doesn't the owner go to Florida every winter though? So if they're all in Florida, it might be a little hectic getting stuff together?

I know Us of NEOVIK, aka Viking camp, tried to talk to powers to be, about some changes for us, and we got a brick wall and get a feeling of there not intersted in us anymore, for they refused to talk to our Tristan, so til further noticed we WILL NOT be there, but plan on having two ALthings, first one i posted, second is in late Aug. Our althings do mean a weekend of Renfaire type get together and celewbration of Freedom in a tradtional Viking way... in other words, we dress and celebrate 9th century, so join us for a meeting of people that enjoy to live in the past

Not able to get on here very often because I have no service where we live but I am out and about and saw all the messages and thought I should shed some light on a few things. First of all this year we have someone new doing ticket sales for us. The tickets were order well in advance and ready by the beginning/middle part of December. We had someone new doing ticket sales for us this year because we have such a hard time getting on line and getting reception long enough to print the ticket sales. I just recently found out that the christmas ticket orders were still not filled. I was told things were moving along fine. The person I had doing these ticket sales just got a full time job and was working so much apparently and was having difficult getting them done. Needless to say Brett is now taking care of the ticket orders and is getting them updated for me as we speak. Hopefully everyone will have their tickets to them soon. I am in contact with Brett often so I will keep pushing him to make sure he gets them done as fast as he can.
As far as the Viking Camp goes. I am sure whomever you talked to wasn't the powers to be because Larry has always put everyone above himself. He always gives anyone who asks for help his attention and advice. He never blows people off. So I am sure whomever you thought the powers to be were, were not the right people. Larry loves the faire more than anything else and he always gives it his undivided attention. Trust me we get up around 5am and often not in bed until 1 or 2, (some nights we don't get any sleep) from May through the end of August. We put so much of our time into the faire we have no life outside of the faire. There are times we don't leave the grounds for several weeks because we work so much. Those who are around can verify this. We are always told we work to much. I guess when you love something that much it isn't so much work though. Tristan is a dear friend of ours and is always welcome to talk about anything with us. We have always had an open door policy with him and he knows that. We have talked to him many times last year about different things and have done things to help out the Viking Camp in the past to help draw people to the area without their (The Viking's knowledge). So next time you need to talk send Tristan and I am sure all will be fine. Remember when everyone is bombarding with questions it does get hard to build the fair. A lot of our work we do at night because no one is around and it is easier to keep moving on projects. Problem is sleep is nice too, lol. It is so much easier if one person in a group could ask questions for everyone in the group that way we aren't bombarded by everyone. Hope this helps answer some questions and finds you all doing well.

Aye, it definitely eases the mind to know you're all on top of it now. Thanks for letting us know what was going on. Last year was the first time I had ever been out there and I'm really looking forward to getting back and sharing it with yet some other folks.

Cindy H,
Thank you for the update. I can only imagine how difficult it is for everyone to make the faire run.
The faire is one of the main things I look forward too in the summer time so I just get a bit nervous without tickets in hand.
Its kinda like a child and their security blanket... Its kinda like a drunk with a new bottle of whiskey... Its kinda like a crackhead with...
Well you get the idea.
Thanks again for the update
