Their music is pretty good, but ya gotta wonder if they suffer from A.D.D. What the hell is with these weekly name changes? Ya don't see the Rolling Stones, or Metallica changing their name every other day. How the hell do you expect to maintain a fan following if no one knows who you are?

I thought this thread was for updates about the Great Lakes Faire. Don't get me wrong I love the Maidens but there is a vendor and performer area to use if you would like to give updates.

Especially since they are not playing our faire this season. I've got no problem at all with people promoting them, and keeping thier fans in the loop on what is going on, and where they will be. Just doesn't belong in the GLMF forum.

I've noticed that there are no bagpipes this year other than Barrett. He's great but no stage show with bagpipes this year? What are they thinking? Sue

Well hey there Capt! Been working tirelessly eh? We've missed you on the board.. See ya all soon! I don't have time to get tired, My Lady! LOL! The East Wing is opened (thank the gods!) I logged in about 64 hours the week before the opening on Solstice and then jumped right into an exhibition that only has 5 days to install (today is the 4th day and there is still miles to go before I sleep!)...but a 55 hour week is far better than 64, so you see, I'm cutting down! Scottish Games this weekend and it is our "Kick Off" to Faire Season to be sure! Can't wait to see all of you on Opening...with the RF-ers coming, it should be a small riot from which the township will never recover... 15 days, 18 hours, 41 minutes and 10, 9, 8...seconds to go!!

OMG! It's been a while since I looked at the official site and I see I have a lot of updating to do here. There are a ton of guest performers this year. Including Danger Slash!
And another bit that caught my attention. King's Tour - Start at Town Square - get there early and join the King, Queen, Knights and Royal Court as they take a leisurely tour around the village of Avoloch, meeting & greeting the villagers and playing some of the exciting village games. Gather at 10:15; tour begins at 10:20
What a great idea! Can't wait to check it out one of the days.
