The Goddess loves you guys! ( Trust me, a dry Goddess is much more fun than a soggy one! Less prone to bite, too! I mean, unless you REQUEST that................... ;D )

We generally park in the area we will be working in so we don't have to lug tools all over the place, and your car will be handy if you need to make a run for it if the weather turns ugly. So park around the Stumble Inn/Pickle Grove/Souvenir Booth area. And yeah, it is pretty much a rain or shine thing. We just make adjustments in the agenda, And if the weather turns really ugly, like tornado warnings or lighting, we clear the hell out. We ain't that nuts!

Sweet. Thank you! The sad part is that I can't start cleaning up with you because of this darn education I have to have.

We'll make it up there eventually. I have to finish my own yard first or my wife will have my head.

So how long will that take? As I recall from that time I gave Britny a ride home your yard was not that big. Unless you have a hundred acres in the back I didn't see because it was dark out.
What are talking here, picking up some branches that blew down, or did Hurricane Katrina roll thru your place? Ya wanta trade yards? So far we have raked 7 acres, cut up some dead trees, and split them into firewood, and I still have two chimneys I need to repair, along with painting some of the garages. And that doesn't include the three major car projects I have going on in the garage at the moment.
Put them kids to work. A little slave labor will speed up the job considerably ;D

Well, I am close now. I have most of the cutting done on the stuff that came down in the wind storm we had a while back. Still have to finish cleaning it all up though. I had the whole top of one of my trees snap off. The delay has been that I haven't been able to get out and actually work on things. I don't get home until 4:30-5 PM. Then I have to make dinner and such, so most week days are shot. Most of the weekend have been crap up until recently. But usually when the weather has been nice enough, the wife has had her 3 year old nephew here and he likes to 'help' me. So I can't actually get anything done then either. Or I have ended up working on vehicles instead when the weather is good. While my yard is no where near your size, it is fairly large for being in town. 100 x 275. And I do have 13 trees. 4 of which are rather large silver maples that just love to drop branches all over the place. Hopefully I will be done today.

Great job today guys. We got a lot done and had a good crew. We cleared out a metric ton of leaves, uncovering a pathway that I didn't even know existed until now, and got the glass-blower stage and the Tortuga stage cleared of leaves. We moved a bunch of the childrens' play castles out from the woods and did some work on the sandbox. The weather was gorgeous even though I heard it was supposed to rain later today. Put them kids to work. A little slave labor will speed up the job considerably ;D HANK. You want to let me lose unsupervised with a chainsaw? Oh, what could possibly go wrong?

Those of you who like myself are having difficulty walking to to injuries or advancing age will be pleased with some new improvements coming to GLMF this year. We are discussing building a series of trebuchets at various places around the fair. So, for example you finish watching the joust and you only have a few moments to get to the chess board stage for the combat chess match you simply walk to the nearest trebuchet and they will fling you to your destination with the utmost speed. Larry has yet to procure enough nets for the landing areas, but I'm sure those details will be worked out in due time. It should be quite a sight watching people fly over the tree top screaming at the top of their lungs because they are so happy they no longer have to walk At the close of faire instead of having that long walk back to your car while burdened down with all the "Plunder" you procured throughout the day, the trebuchet will simply launch you into the lake near the parking area. NOTE: Those of you wishing to partake of this service should probably bring a swim suit and a water proof plastic bag into which you can place your costume and other items. On the other hand if it was a really muddy day at faire you can opt to wear what you have on as a quick splashdown in the lake should rinse you off nicely. ;D It's going to be a wonderful year at faire, I just know it. HANK.
