I know I am partially biased when I say this but, we have had the strongest and wildest cast that I have not seen in some time! Chess Match: F*%#ING AMAZING!!! ( i know I am biased on this too) I only hope we can top ourselves and make it better in some way next year... rainy pub sing.... was kinda miserable but only because of the weather. Only after the pub sing did the sky clear up... so then i very kindly flipped it off... Parade: how many people thought i was really hurting the little frenchie? over all it was a great year and i only hope we can top it next time around....

Yup, I'm biased, folks, but I thought it was the best season in years!!!!! To everyone I didn't get a chance to personally say goodbye to on Sunday, I miss you already! I am already looking forward to the Halloween Party so we can all be together again! I just couldn't take the cold and rain anymore (yes, i'm a putz) and it took me ALL night to warm up again and stop shivering. I still feel cheated though, missing the rest of the day due to the rain/cold. But, it was a fabulous run, I miss all of my friends, and enjoyed meeting new people this year, and I can't wait until we can all be together again.

Overall I had a great season besides the rain & the fact it seems to go faster every year, I'm already missing faire and the people & it's not even the weekend yet.Really could have done without the rain Sunday though. Only 10 & 1/2 months to go.

I thought it was an awesome season!! Chess match was fantastic. The cast and crew were perfect. Pub sing turned out great! I am the Assassin Queen I had a wonderful season. I finally got to meet people in person thanks to the M/M signs. I miss you already. We do have the Halloween party and I am thinking of doing another Christmas party. Hopefully you can all be at these parties. See you on the board. Kat

That was the best season so far, which can only mean one thing: it will get better as time goes on. This was the closest I've been to being on cast without actually being on cast. I really do think I'll try out next year, providing I can find my way home in time.
Plus I totally got to hug the executioner on the last day! Hah! There's a lot of you that I'm gonna miss, but the good thing is that I have corkboard in my room, and it's gonna be full of pictures from this year, so really, you won't be too far away from me. Before you know it, it will be the 2009 season, anyway.

I'm a regular at the faire, have been for years. Have seen most of you in passing spoken to many of you on occasion.
I had a ton of fun this year. Made some new friends, had a blast with some old friends made plans for next season with some acquaintances. I thought the professional acts were superb this year.
I'm glad the cast members posting and the regulars that follow the cast around thought they did such a great job. Personally, I show up for the last 6-7 hours of the day and never saw a one of you do anything in the streets except for the mortician bit on day one, the fisherman's wife trying to catch things in a mug on the last saturday and several cast members wandering past folks with hardly the time to toss out a "good day". I had formed half a plan at the beginning of the season to see how much I could involve you in some goofiness through the season but I could never find any of you unless you were hustling to a stage.
It is quite probable that I just managed to find a way to be on the opposite side of the grounds from all of you all day long. Hopefully, the answer is more along the lines of you were busy entertaining throngs of guests in civilian clothing as you should be doing.
One thing I am proud I did not see this year was the entire cast hiding from the public behind the chess stage, the feast hall and in the woods in between. That used to happen far too often and I am glad you all are taking the duties seriously and staying in character in the grounds. I MUST complement that.
Now most of you seem like very talented and creative cast members. go find some other outlets for that the rest of this year and blossom. you all have too much to offer to let it just see light 6 weekends a year.
On a personal note: unless one of the pic link regulars surprises me later this week, I have managed to go one more year without ending up even in the background of a pic on this site. I really must be hanging out on the other side of the grounds from everyone.
Peace and love to you all until next we meet. Loved seeing you all, loved seeing your garb, and loved sharing the moments.

Yes, there were long stretches where it would be hard to find cast on the streets. The biggest problem being that they are needed for several things that do take most of them away from us. Parade, dance, chess, kidnapping, and feast being the most cast intensive, as well as the joust. The problem is, we need more cast! So spread the word, and help get more to audition in the spring. I didn't get to play with cast as much this year as I have in years past either. Mainly because they were busy elsewhere, and most of the time when I did see them, they were doing smaller bits with those dressed in 'normal' cloths.

No word in the English language can describe how awesome this year was. Maybe Scandinavian has a word that can describe it?

The 2008 season can be described as fresh and crisp, changed from the last season and as always for the better. To try and compare seasons is like comparing apples to oranges, every season at the faire is great but they all have their own flavor. Do you like beer or wine? Chocolate or caramel? Coffee or Tea? Every year is unique, and 2008 was a great year. The new world was really built up. The pirate ship and Victor gave the kids a great new opportunity to have fun, having real pirates to fight on the ship was genius. Changing the pub sing to a different stage and changing the songs and having a circus and to top it off staging a special chess show on the final day means that not only is every year different but every day is different so if you miss one day you miss a lot. Hooked, flayed and roasted to a golden brown. ;D

Let me just say that I feel like this season was beautiful. I've been doing this for awhile now, and each season has something to offer different than the last.
Our cast was small but mighty. So strong and playful, and talented. The energy was fresh and new and positive--and we didn't sweat the small stuff.
I had an amazing season personally and professionally. I'm biased--of course...but yes, it was a season that made me feel the magic all over again.
(And I'm already preparing several projects for the next one)

Hi All, This was my fifth year attending. I can say that there was alot of change over the years. My daughter (Princess Emma) has been dressing the part of a fairy princess since she was 3. She's eight now. This year I joined her as being a Knight Commander in full costume. The faire cast was incrediable. We were involved in several street events including the trial of the frenchman with the govonor. The princess also was taken on stage to help with the frog prince show. The biggest event was when we went to the sweet 16 b-day part feast on opening weekend. The cast made it so real, and made us feel like part of the cast family. I was worth every penny. Even the wenches who brought out the trough, at the end of the meal was so funny. You guys hit a 15 on a scale of 1 to 10 this year. Keep up the great work and I can hardly wait till next year's faire. Sir Michael of Mentor Knight Commander and Escort to Princess Emma of Fayetteville P.S. to Sir Trevor, Princess Emma wants to know if the elephant will be back....she really liked riding him a few years back...
