So, what did you thing? What did I miss on Sunday? In case you didn't know, I wasn't there long Sunday, and for the brief couple hours I was there, I wasn't completely garbed. Saturday night, on the way home from faire, my car broke down at 45 and 90. By the time I worked on it, decided I couldn't do anything else at the time, and got someone to come pick up, us, and the 3 friends Britny had with her, we didn't get home until midnight. Sunday I got a hold of my friend Dale, and we ran out to my car. Hopeing to get it going, then continue on to the faire. Unfortunately, we determined that the car is pretty much toast We ran up to the faire to confer with Hank (the resident car guru). Gave me a chance to show Dale around, and at least put in an appearance. Hank was kind enough to offer to bring Britny home if she wanted to stay at faire. Which she did. So I will still have pictures from Sunday to post. I just don't know what they are yet. I do know, Saturday was a great day. Didn't realize how much I missed Owain, until I heard him sing at pub sing.

Sunday - Pan stole Hook's coat and wore it around all day. It rained alot. Sword School was there: Turk, Jenna, & Miles. The Burlap brothers made an appearance. Fool Hearty renewed their vows. Mitch and his wife got to come up on stage during Health to the Company and Judy Plester serenaded them during her solo. I saw the Flying Debris show. The circus was good. We sat in front of the E Muzeki group. Fool HEarty had a board for everyone to sign and we forgot to.

Sunday was a fairly quiet day actually. It was really empty at the faire. Though it was fun seeing swords school, and Pub Sing was awesome with everything going on.
Thank again Hank and Bunnie for taking me home, and John and Tina for riding along.

Ok....just a minor complaint:
Owain at the Stumble Inn was not a good idea after all...At first, I thought it was a great idea, but after seeing them perform there, there was definitely a loss if intimacy with his music.
If Emuzeki comes back next year, they would be better suited at the Stumble Inn because they are louder anyways.

I do believe it was Sunday morning that I saw one of the Tinkers running around with Prince John's stick with the pretty blue gem upon it. && I also believe that on Sunday Sir Guy had Robin Hood's hat and Sir Guy gave the hat to Wick. But Robin had to choose between stealing from the poor peasant or just letting her have the hat. In the end Robin Hood went 'bip', took the hat, and ran. It was quite entertaining this weekend, much was going on. and we must not forget the feud between Jinxy and Cinda about Will. ps. sorry if any of those names are spelled wrong. i took them from trevor's cast page so blame him!

We were not there Saturday.......So Sunday thoughts.....
I agree about Emuzeki playing at Pub Sing. I also miss Menagerie Music and Barret playing at Pub sing.
I loved the weather. All in all, this Faire season has had pretty good weather. Not really that many hot days.
The "Living Tree" was fantastic!
Watching Mark and Tary re-new their vows was precious.
Todd Key, from The Flying Debris Show was O'k. Don't know why I wasn't too impressed with him. (I know he is the "tree.")
The all female hookah was a blast. (I am sober now, BTW.)
Robin Hood was in rare form. Eating roses, chasing people and having a grand time.
I had enough Jinxy make up on me I could have been her mother.
I had a very good weekend!

Does anybody know why Emuzeki doesn't do pub sing?

Kayenne....Just my opinion here, but from having watched them perform on "their" stage I could not help but notice a very large set of drums they use in their act. Possibly dragging all that over to the Stumble Inn at the end of the day is just a bit too much.
Since the drums play a large part in their repertoire they might just be limited in what they could perform without them. Kinda like the one performer who has been spoken of on this board who plays all the bells, I can't think of his name at the moment, but I am sure some of you know of whom I speak as you have seen him at other faires. Once he is set up in a spot, I don't imahgine he drags all that stuff around to perform at "pub sings"
Do they even do that at other faires? Bunnie and I have never been to any other than GLMF so I don't really know how they end their day. HANK.

exactly right about the drums... that's what I thought too. do miss menagarie at pub sing as well. Don't forget Pan stole Hook's coat all day too. and I saw Robin Hood carrying around the prince's scepter and calling himself a prince.

Yes, other faires do pub sings. Though the type varies greatly from faire to faire. A lot of them only have music. That is it. No other type of performers. They just play songs, and everyone sings along..

do miss menagarie at pub sing as well. Yeah, but I think they really like playing at the gate at the end of the day. Their tips there in the last couple hours are usually more than what they make the rest of the day.

I find it funny that I didn't know that someone plays at the gate at the end of the day. But it's far from surprising considering how long I stick around Stumbull.

Yep. They head down that way before pub sing. Set up at the pavilion across from the feast hall and play for people as they leave.
