So, no one has any comments on the show schedule?
Anyone think the it looks like it will flow better or worse than years previous?
Any opinion on the new parade time?

Hi Trevor...Saw the new schedule on your board somewhere. Seems to be a lot less cluttered up. You don't have everything opposite everything like it was last year. Looks more workable to me. As for the parade, no big deal! in years past they held it around that time. Since Faire opens at 10:00AM, Noon seemed too early to me. This way you are four hours into faire, closer to the midway point. Of course not having four Sword Schools a day to attend will free up a lot of my time. (Still, I'm gonna miss those guys) With careful planning I think I can catch most of the shows this Sat. and Sun. Depends how much wandering about, checking out vendors and talking to folks I do. HANK.

I agree on parade. It always seemed like everyone was rushing to get things settled for it in the morning, that they didn't have time to focus on enjoying the day. Now it won't be as rushed, or as cluttered. The path where we meet for parade gets rediculous.
I think the thing I like most about the shows is that not only do we have the Twins again, but Hack and Slash as well! Oh happy day! My sides will be killing me all of faire from those acts...

The blocks are in fifteen minute units, and the schedule is (I am assuming) for the start of each show, the expected duration will of each show will play a big part of the flow patterns. Time and distance from the end of the show I'm watching now until the start of other shows nearby I'd like to see needs to taken into consideration for good flow patterns.
A travel time nodal map including food and privies could help dramatically in the planning of good flow. Having staggered endings especially near lunchtime will help relieve huge food/drink/privy swarms by spacing out usages. Staggered endings also help keep the streets full enough for cast to interact with patrons evenly throughout the day. I remember a few times when the streets were nearly empty then BAM every show going on ended in about the same 5 or 10 minute window, lines for the privy, food, drink etc. were insane.
While having shows end at the same window may NEED to be done for the parade to get full representation, moving the parade away from the lunch hour certainly should help smooth out that big wave.

Works for me, too. Now I can get something to eat before hauling myself over the gathering area.

Menagerie has opted to stay in the lanes this year. There are many good acts this year & we didn't stand a chance. We had a really good time this opening weekend!

Does this mean you won't have an actual stage show? You will just be out and about performing where you find a place?

I was there for the whole pub sing and didn't hear you sing the violets song lizzie.... it seems that there are many many musical acts - or maybe it is just because I have already seen the 4 big shows before and was looking for something different and everything else is musical... so that's mostly what I heard. pub sing ending still doesn't seem right without Owain. Is there any more to the cast storyline after the jailbreak?
