Forgot to start a thread about this. With the restructuring of fairyland, we have lost some holes and will have to rethink at least one other.
Not sure how the changes will affect the unicorn hole. The snuffles hole is gone. And the tree face hole, while still technically possible I would think will be impractical now. Fairyland doesn't go back that far now. And while the path and the tree are still there, I don't know if it will still be doable.

It's true. I think the first weekend may need to be a fairly hardcore look at where we can play. If we want the tourney early for gloating later, we'll need a solid 9 holes quickly. =)

Don't worry. As things get a little closer to done during clean-up / site prep, I will see what I can come up with.

We have a new pucker this year too! I finally have my pucking stick, and I just need to get a rat.
Trevor, can you send me a link to the site?

A few more thoughts. With the return of the Hawk show to the first stage, I think that hole is probably impractical now as well. Don't think hurling rat-type things would go over well near the birds. Also, the gypsy camp hole is iffy as well. Not sure what Richard is going to do with that area. And with them actually selling goods there, I don't know how much they would like us pucking.

Ok, I am going to start thinking out loud a little here. Just to kind of work out where we stand. What we need, and some of the possibilities.
Old world loop is still pretty much intact. Exept the jail hole won't actually be the jail anymore. But there is still something there. So I think we are fine on that end of the shire.
The new world loop is pretty much shot though. Unicorn hole is probably out now. If thye are doing stage shows and fairyland is right on the lane, we would be pucking right into the middle of everything. Not a good idea. Snuffles hole is gone. Tree-face hole, while still being there, might not really be an option. (though possibly a great practice hole!) The vargo hole still might work, will have to wait and see. The next one is probably out now as well. With more activity at the harmony stage, and glassblowers actually working, could be trouble at both ends.
So we have huge stretches of new world with no pucking. Need to find something workable out there. The main path along the west is out. Can't do anything around the astrologer/fortune teller. Can't risk anything around Paul and Silus. Fairyland will hopefully be hopping, and is considerably smaller now as well.
Need to think some more .......

Maybe this season the course will need to be old world only while we work on the new ones? That is if we want to have the unofficial tourney early enough to brag.
We could call this year's outing the O.W. Tour or something. Heh.
You know what might be really fun? Talking to the barbarian sword folks and if they're willing, having a hole near them. We could end up fighting our way through. It would be a mess of stomped rats though, so it may just have to be a fun hole so none of us get frustrated taking 9 due to interference. =)

Intersting idea. Though, you do know they have been moved? Last I knew they were going to be down by the hawk show.

I know they moved. I did not know that we had scored a hawk show.

I know they moved. I did not know that we had scored a hawk show. We've always had a hawk show. As far as I know the one that was there last season will be back again this season. Though your lovely wife may know more about that than I do.

So yeah, flinging rats near animals in general, much less birds of prey, would be a bad idea. Heh.

That gets me thinking though. The first hole. Instead of going for the stage. Why can't we go for something like the stocks in front of the feast hall? It would give us a hole at the shire entrance. And other than early in the morning, it is pretty empty. It would also double as a way to liven things up for people entering the faire later in the day.

Maypole would work as well, Trevor, 'cause after the peasants are done with it, it usually sits unused for the rest of the day.
