Thanks to all who participated in this season's tournament.
We had wonderful weather. Co-operative patrons. And great participants.
Cannot wait to see what next year will bring!

As he appears to be too modest to post such, my hearty congratulations to Trevor for winning this year's pucking tournament. Huzzah!
And of course, cheers to my beloved Kelzar for his second place finish and to Penfold for his third place standing.
And to all other tournament participants, a toast to you for all of the fun that you added to the day!
You all make a cattie proud!

It is actually cattie. Get it .......... rats, cats ............ kind of a play on words Just a heads up. Any perspective puckers for next year might want to practice during the off season. There is a tentative plan to hold the tourny the 3rd weekend. One - it will get it out of the way earlier and not clog up the already congested closing weekend. Two - it will give the winner more time to bask in the glory. Three - might draw more attention and gain some more members. After they see the tourny, they might be interested to puck a few informal holes later in the run.

Yeah. That was the thinking behind it. The later we get into the season, the more stuff is going on. Also, some of us tend to get into a rut and get hard to motivate (not naming names here, but I think we know someone who fits that description ) Plus it will mean more for the winner. By the time next season rolls around the events of the previous season are a distant memory. It should also lead to more pucking early in the season. Which was kind of missing this year. I know for myself, I kept thinking "Well, I still have plenty of time to puck" Then suddenly we are coming up on the final weekend.
