Thought I would bump this up for anyone who wants to add to it, or learn some of the songs so they can sing along at faire.

Words and gutiar chords to the moose song----
Why don't you just ask Axel? He does that song sometimes in his show.

Poison Ivy I think Trevor was just trying to do a bump on a thread if you look at the dates. We all seem to forget the words to songs. And any way he is in the army I think still (if I remember right) so he can't ask Axle unless he comes on leave.

Hep. Axel, as in Axel the Sot. You know, little guy who performs at the Drift Inn.
Though you are correct that I did bump up this very old thread, just to get it going again. Not exactly for the moose song, but for any and all songs.

I would like to know the name and lyrics for the ending song that Porter & Stout play each weekend. I can't even give you a few bars cuz I can't remember any.

If you are talking about the song at the end of Pub Sing its: Canaan's Land
Farewell my friends I'm bound for Canaan. I'm traveling through the wilderness. Your company has been delightful. You do not leave my mind distressed.
I go away behind to leave you (*clap*) Perhaps never to meet again. But if we never have the pleasure, I hope we meet on Canaan's land.

I am surprised to see that Sir Trevor used my post to "bump it back up" as it were. Although i may get to ask Axel this year now that I am once again home... for good too! ;D ;D although i am sure Axel has a thing about copyright protection. and if anyody does have any more song with chords i would still like to learn them... as a guitar player constantly stays hungry for inspiration

The Moose Song is not Axel's, by that I mean he didn't write it. I just said he sings it sometimes.
Oh, I think he might have something to say about someone else doing "all his stuff" without his permission, especially if that "stuff" includes his original songs and limricks.

I know for a fact that most of these songs we are talking about are traditional.
why else would a band like Metallica be able to sing "Whiskey in the Jar" (I only mention this example because i am listening to it right now)
if i could ask owain or axel how to play "Health to the Company" i would want to arrange it into either a blues or rock ballad and sing it at gigs as a closing song.
