Thought it would be a good idea to do this thread again. Something to help us remember all the fun of faire. So share some of your favorite faire memories. I can't think of any off hand right this minute, but I do know I remember a few really funny things from Pub Sing this past season

Getting dressed in garb, walking through the shady Shire with a cold ale, the faint strains of Owain Phyfe carried on the breeze and meeting up with old friends and making new ones...I guess every weekend is my favorite Faire memory...and that's exactly what I tell people when they screw up their faces and ask "How can you go to the Faire EVERY weekend? Isn't it the same thing time after time?" Guess not...

I know exactly what you mean. And I get the same question from my wife every weekend of faire.

As a lover of the faire just about every weekend was special in some way but one weekend that really sticks out was towards the end of faire season we began talking to some new people and one thing turned into another that it wound up that they were distint cousins on my one grandfather's side who had come from Hubbard and the Youngstown area. That just doesn't happen very often or at least not to me anywho ;D

There's so many wonderful memories from faire.
One that comes to mind is in 2002 after Kings court, Reginal Devinsire running off the stage yelling "I have a job."

Faire '03, towards the end of the season. I'll never forget the horrified look on Mordred's face when he was given to the "Lovely Ladies of Wessex". >D

- "Macbeth" the Bloody Parts
- Right before Maypole in the afternoon, a bunch of characters would have a Peasant nap time!
-The pirates and gypsies battling by singing "Anything you can do, I can do better" in the middle of the street.

mmmm... this is the first of many... but the one that i remember distinctly was when the bawdy ballad girls and menagerie were singing Follow the Band (my husbands a carpenter, a carpenter a carpenter, my husbands a carpenter a carpenter is he, all day he bangs wood, he bangs wood he bangs wood...) and when lizzie got to the part where it goes "... and at night he comes hoooome...." Allison (Honesty Locke) yelled out "AND BANGS ME!!!!!!" then... when allison was singing her verse, she got to "and at night he comes home..." and pester jumped on stage and yelled "AND LAYS ME!!!!!!"
ahh... that was good times
