Had an absolute blast on Sunday! Weather held off & everything. Brought a newby who kind of got lost and had to spend 45 minutes looking for him, but that was OK - I got to walk the entire Village and catch up with some old friends!

The weather was great for both days. It kind of threatened on Sunday, but rain held off.
I thought Saturday had a very large crowd for opening weekend. Had lots of fun, saw lots of friends, and enjoyed exploring all the new vendors we have this season.

Typical first weekend issues but nothing horrible. Great to see old friends, young friends and old young friends and friends afterwards over at Best Friends.
If you love food, make plans to hit Bridget Malloys this weekend, I heard plans of a couple brilliant new items.
Rain should not be a problem now that I have spent money on something to keep me dry during the festival. (in fact the universe may conspire to prevent rain from ever touching the grounds during hours again)
For those not up to speed on new vendors: We have a new leather worker who also has a bundle of assorted mugs, bowls and swords down near the washing wenches. Across from him is a new Viking vendor selling handmade period bags, hats, and jewelry for the barbarians. There are also a pair of new vendors near the cottage stage where Broon is at. One is vending Gypsy style clothing for the ladies (Dallas is working for them so go give her some business and make her look good) and Nikki has an Apothecary set up on the road into faerie forest selling natural herbal teas and accessories.
Over near the oxcart, we have a new leather mask vendor who has awesome stuff. and there is a goblet and pewter vendor between town square and the mermaid lagoon behind the drift inn.
I think that covers most of them.

I think there are also some new ones near Drift Inn. I remember seeing one with glasses and goblets and such. I believe they were etched.
Also. Slash posted on the Faire's FB page that he will be there this weekend. And that he and Broon have something special planned for their end of day show.
