Elyria? *grin* The Faire brings in people from Pittsburgh and all over western PA every weekend.. Just this year, I've seen people at the Faire from Maryland, Michigan, Tennessee, New York, Florida, and even Canada. And many of these people come every year.
There were even people at the meeting from Pittsburgh even!!
And wow, that meeting was interesting.. Meeting started about 8:00PM. I left at 11:00. It was still going on around 11:30. I don't know when it finally ended...
The one part I wish was included in the broadcast was the Channel 3 News reporter asking Trustee Ron Tamborino (I may get some words in reverse order) "Were you, while you were working, representing the township, arrested for trespassing and harassment?" It took repeating the question 3 times for Tamburino to finally admit it.
Tamburino was trying to silence people by requiring anyone to states their full name and address before they speak, saying that Trumbull residents need to know where everyone present was from. One gentleman that spoke only gave "Youngstown" for his address, to which Tamborino said "Well that's a large geographic area. You need to be very specific." Tamborino dodged the question a number of times when asked if it's legal to require addresses, and finally he said "Well, it would be nice."
One person that was speaking in favor of the Faire made a number of points, and Tamborino asked the deputy sheriff that he be removed because "He spoke enough already." The sheriff said "He's not out of hand, so I can't remove him."
Tamborino is a lawyer that should know better than to attempt such legally dubious tactics in order to silence peoples' voices.
I also heard that he broke a gag order during the meeting regarding money from alcohol sales at the Faire, but I do not know details on what was said. I was not inside the the meeting at the time.
One of the GLMF vendors asked "Before I open my shop on Saturday, do I need a Transient Vendor's License for just myself, or one for every person that works for me?" Tamborino, one of the three people that created the resolution requiring the License, said that is was not his prerogative to interpret the law and the person should direct questions to the Prosecutor. "I already called the Prosecutor, and he said I should ask the township, which is why I am here." Tamborino continually referred any questions about the Transient Vendor Licenses to the Prosecutor's Office.
Tamborino works for Sherwin Williams. I hope he isn't as dubious with his employment there, for Sherwin Williams' sake.

And then..

Also, trustee Willis Clay is a problem as well.. He said he is fighting the Faire on behalf of the residents.
When asked if he will continue to fight the Faire even if the township tells him not to, he said Yes. (Holding a referendum to get the townships opinion was also mentioned for this goal.)
Then he was asked "Will you stop if the residents vote you out of office?" {applause}
Clay: "Not even then."
Sounds kinda personal, doesn't it? A trustee that admits he will pursue things even when his constituents tell him not to. Vendetta mayhaps?
