Getting a little frustrated with the brake job on my car. After a lot of hastle, I finally got the old brake cylinder out, now I can't get the new one in. It's like it's too big. Doesn't fit between the backing plate and the spindle I will beat this thing if it's the last thing I do The cylinder needs to be compressed a little bit it's probaly extended out he said just trying to help

Thanks for the attempted help. But this is on a rear brake drum. It's looking like I am going to have to remove the hub

No you don't want to do that because then you'll have to pound them out and that means MORE time in the cold. Plus one of the tools might break and that means more money.

There are very few things I would actually pay to have done to a car. Besides, not even an option unless I want to fork over cash to have it towed as well. Also, it's almost done now. Everything is put back together, I just have to do something about a brake line leak now, then blead the lines. Wouldn't have taken this long, if the weather would have been better. I haven't actually needed the car, so I haven't been willing to sit out in the driveway for hours at a time freezing my fingers off.

Well the snow has just started down here in the Canton area. Just hope nothing comes of it. I can't wait for spring I'm so sick of winter already
