I am not saying the movie was bad....I just thought the first one was a lot...a whole lot...better than the second.

I definetly agree the end of the credits, weren't what I was expecting. But funny.
This movie made me feel cold the entire time. The last movie seemed like an advertisement, "come see the Caribbean!" And this movie was more like cold wet and miserable. You know, what real life on a ship is like. And Davey Jones playing the organ was creepy.
Okay, hide the rum!

The action scenes were well played, The Davey Jones character was lame, the dialog was funny, can't ruin it for those who have not seen it by going into more detail. It is a kids movie after all. as for the end thing, think it through and pass the salt.

I don't think it was a kids movie at all. I for one would not want my child seeing the violence and bloodshed portrayed in that movie at all. the dungeon scene with the crows was particulary disturbing.

Awe. That was the only really disturbing part of the whole thing.

I guess I've just watched way too many horror movies. Nothing in POTC fazed me a bit. Besides, that was a pretty accurate representation of just how thing were in them days. Those were cruel times people. Believe me when I tell ya, none of us would really want to live in medieval times. Pretty damn horrific! Plague, beheadings, torture. All kinds of really fun stuff. Watch the History Channel if you don't believe me. HANK.

Oh, I agree Hank. I was talking in terms of taking a young child to see the movie.

I is a great kids flick There was no nudity, or profanity, there was violence but little blood and gore, it was more playful if anything, This movie was more a cartoon than a realistic representation of life in the mid seventeenth century. If you want to know what seafaring life was like back then, see Master and commander, please note the roles the young played, fighting, drinking, smoking, that was the way it was. There were young children in the theater when we went to see it and I do not recall hearing a peep out of them, I think they loved it. I wish we had movies like that when I was young.

actually if you really watch the disney version of peter pan. .. it's pretty darn violent for a kids' movie too.
