Song: Alright, I'm sure I'll offend some but about the only way Saturday's *Parting Glass* could have been more depressing would be if Kate Bush sang it. Ok - I haven't found anything on this thread to be offensive..until now! Being a HUGE Kate Bush fan myself, that's HARSH man...really cuts to the quick... But, OK I am over the offense now! I suppose I cannot expect everybody to have as discerningly good taste in music as myself...

As for Auld Lang Syne....If I hear that I am going to think it's New Years Eve. I don't know about anyone else. HANK. Well, we have Christmas in July, so why not a New Year's in July? We do have Robert Burns' half-birthday already..

UH Dill...I think the Travis who posted was a different one then yours as he can spell correctly. You don't need to be a handwriting expert to know your lil buddy needs some help in that category. As for Auld Lang Syne....If I hear that I am going to think it's New Years Eve. I don't know about anyone else. HANK. Oddly, he spells a LOT better after a couple of hits of Everclear! And for the record here, Travis wants to add his two cents worth about the closing song. He wants to vote for Poison's 'Nothin' But A Good Time'!!!

MAJOR improvement in the sound yesterday! I was really looking forward to enjoying pub sing until we got hit with the second downpour. Gotta give kudos to the cast, it was great watching them having fun and dancing in the rain!

Yeah, I was starting to get into things also, now that I could hear. Then I went to the rose booth to get a rose for my wife, and felt the sprinkles. So I decided to scoot down to Pluck's to get my diner. By the time I got down there, it started again. And I just stayed down there under the tent unlil it cleared again.

Okay....but they still sing "Health to the Company" at the closing Gate? Hmmmmmmmmmm.... Avoid the "Christmas rush"....we just hang at the Stumball and sing it anyway because...it needs to be. I knew the song waaaaaay looooong before Owain....along with Aulde Lang Syne...it is a song to send friends out on with the acknowldegement that, while we are here, in this place at this time...we had a frickin' good time... I will always remember you kindness, where ere I go...

Just a quick post to say that we thoroughly enjoyed Pub Sing on Sunday. It was quick paced and happy, and it was nice to see some of the special guests and a special appearance by Johnny Phoenix! What a wonderful surprise, to be treated to "Health" at closing!
Unfortunately that may be our last visit this season (Pennsic looms), but it was a fabulous way to go out!
Our thanks to all!

Pub SIng has much improved!!!
Second weekend was a bit of a wash.. The rain doesn't make things quite normal...
And I wasn't there Saturday, but was there SUnday... It seemed soo much better, but alas I had to leave a bit early. Gimping to the car amidst a swarm of people isn't a nice thing, for me, or for the people behind me.
BUT, I can say that now you can hear Pub Sing all the way past Front Gate!

Sunday....now THAT'S a pub sing. WOW! My favorite moment was Looney Lucy's little dance, and her fans chanting her name at the bar! ;D I'm a big Empty Hats fan, and loved hearing Beggars to God. I think it's perfect for pub sing, and if another song were to be considered instead of Health to the Company, that would sure get my vote. Huzzah once more to the cast, it's so much fun watching them dance!

Yes, I wanted to seek this thread out to say that issues I had mentioned previously have been much improved upon. Sound seems much better. Even though the feel is still different because of location, it's much better and feels more inclusive if you can hear/participate if you'd like to.
Thanks to everyone who is working so hard to show us all a wonderful Faire day! We love it and all of you!!
